The Bowle is pricey but worth it
It’s been over four years since we first discovered the Tafee Bowle and fell in love with its vapor. This full convection, on-demand vape has an amazing pedigree that explains its excellence. The short story is the guy who did the cannabis tests for Storz & Bickel and the guy who made the Minivap worked with the guy who makes the Bowle, and that’s why the flavor is outstanding and the strong sessions stay under control. I really have nothing else like it, and that doesn’t even touch on the cup on top of this vape!
Yup, the form factor on this one is nuts. It’s a vape, with a cup on top so you can drink while you vape. Failures were higher than acceptable, and the power solution was rough, with regular hiccups that required weird resets with the charge cable.
A lot has changed since that release. The Bowle internals got a full overhaul, and it is now assembled in Canada. The electronics were redone so that everything inside is plug and play, which adds to the improved reliability the Bowle touts. Best of all, the battery life is drastically improved. This vape has a 5000mAh capacity available to make your vapor. The battery has more capacity than that, but it’s never accessed so your battery doesn’t stress and fail. The original was less than 1000mAh, so we’re flying now!
The Bowle is Tafee’s flagship product and comes at a price. The $450 tag is as high as it gets for a portable vaporizer. The build quality is top notch, and the vapor might be as good as it gets on a portable. Here I took the drinkware off the vape.
The top of the vaporizer with a USB-C charge port! (The last model had micro-USB.) There are now five lights instead of four, which means five temps instead of four!
The underside of the vaporizer. Either of those three holes can hold the stir tool in place, once they resize the gasket. But guess what? I never stir this vape, so who needs a stir tool?!
The top button is the power button (3 clicks) and the fire button (1 click). The bottom button selects the temperature.
The stem slides in and out of the back side of the vape.

The ceramic pot, or bowl to you and me, lifts out so you can easily fill it.
Here’s a shot of the heater exit. The ceramic pot is held right up to the screen where the hot air comes out. That’s also where the temperatures is measured, so it’s super accurate.

The Bowle also comes with a taller mouthpiece, which I prefer. But it’s not as stealthy.
The bottom of the stem is secured with a hex screw.

It may take you a minute to see this picture right…it’s weird. But it’s a shot of the lights when the vape is turned on – looking down into the cup from above.
This Stubby Stem is dope, and is my favorite accessory. Remove the drinkware and use this stem, and it almost feels like a pocketable vape.
Here’s how the Bowle looks in it’s smallest form factor with the Stubby Stem.
The Bowle comes with the Potter+ on the right, and they also sell a metal Potter (left).
The Potter+ loading chamber. The herbs fall through four slits that direct the herbs into the pots below.
Lift off the grind chamber to reveal the four pots below. There is very little mess with this design!
The Potter+ exploded. The clear top acts as a loading funnel. It also pulls apart, and you can store the stir tool there for now.
The metal Potter comes with a silky bag, a brush and a small spatula.
Open up the grind chamber and you can see the four slits that fill the pots below.
Lift off the grind plate to find your four filled pots. But wait…
…the four pots lift out to reveal four more pots below! That’s right…you can roll around town with eight loaded bowls in this grinder.
What the fuck? Check out the teeth in this grinder! I’ve never seen anything like it.

I love how this vape is so weird as a concept, and would otherwise be ignored if it weren’t for the fact that everyone who tries it, loves it!
It’s such a unique concept too, but definitely could be a fun (and interesting) way to introduce someone to dry herb vaping.

Hadn’t gotten a good look at the teeth on the metal potter, those look like an extra aggressive Santa Cruz Shredder profile. Bet it makes the herb super fluffy, so many really good details on this device the closer you look.
I would be really interested in seeing this device compared next to the venty. The venty , despite its many flaws, has been my favorite vaporizer of the year. HOWEVER, the bowlee is one I have been really intrigued by. The form factor does appear odd, but from what I’ve read and heard the flavor , vapor production and quality of the vapor is “second to none “ and hence would love to see a side by side. There’s not many devices that extract as evenly or require no stirring – this is where I would also love to see the side by side with the venty. In terms of effects , I would also love to see how the effects stack next to the venty. Flavor and effects are key to me. Looking forward to seeing more!!!

I fell in love with the original tafee and told all my vaping buddies how good and efficient the Bowle is with extracting. The tafee Bowle truly is remarkable! The battery wasn’t as good, where for me, my battery would die after 2-3 sessions. Now that the series II has a bigger and better battery, my eyes are now peeled on the Tafee Bowle series II.

This is my most wanted vaporizer right now. I almost got a used Series I, but decided to wait for the Series II. I am loving my Vestratto Tornado and this seems like it would be the perfect compliment device.

I definitely think hydration is the name of the game when it comes to dry herb vaping. Having the option to pair your herb with tea, cold brew coffee, or even water will definitely improve one’s experience.
Even if you could just grab a second glass to hydrate from, having liquid on demand close to the mouth piece will encourage better hydration habits with vaping.
The potter system also adds to the convenience of having herb ready to go after grinding. The Bowle II isn’t just a vape, it’s a culinary device, as every step in the consumption process is accounted for. Well.. perhaps for when the munchies set in 😂

What I would be really intrigued to see would be the technology in the vape in a different form factor, maybe like a water bottle? I’d understand why they wouldn’t move away from being paired with a drinking vessel though, it’s part of their brand.

I think the tafee bowle would solve cotton mouth for me because I could have a lil drink while I am vaping bud. Like how awesome is that! The Tafee Bowle also looks like it could be a vaporizer for any person whether they are a first timer in the vape game or are an everyday user! + using the bowl to carry around accessories is a great idea I didn’t even think of lol! This tafee seems totally unique compared to some of the other existing devices on the market 🙂

Almost purchased from POTV but decided on the Tinymight 2 Purple Heart. POTV rocks, bought a Venty and returned for TM2 as session is not my style at all. Would love to have the Bowle as well to compare the vape signature.

A dream device. Such a unique design that I originally wondered if it was a ridiculously expensive novelty device. Until I saw the video trying it out, read a review, and have wished I could afford one ever since. Prior to that it was wishing I could afford a Venty, but the Tafee Bowl appears to be the one for me. Hopefully someday. A counterpart for my TM2. I’m usually a flavor chaser and this may be an ultimate.

During the pandemic a friend of mine welcomed me into a group of his friends that play online together. I’ve met these guys a couple of times, but didn’t know them super well. One of these guys, who’s a bit private so we’ll call him “FJ” for now, got me interested in dry herb vaping, including turning me on to T&J! Over the last few years more days than not 2, 3, or 4 of us end up online into the wee hours. FJ and I were a common duo. He’s reserved, but very knowledgeable, and passionate about his interests. I learned a lot about vaping from him, he has particularly enjoyed his collection of Dynavaps, and primarily a trusty Arizer Solo 2. I’ve been lucky enough to treat myself to a few different vapes, and cannabis has made such a difference in my life, but FJ has been holding out to be able to get a new one that he really appreciates. One of which is a ball vape that has yet to reveal itself (lol), and the almighty “Tafee Bowl.” We’re both Canadian, and it takes a lot to impress him, but he has yet admired it from a far in my headset on the battlefield many nights. He is in love with that thing! It’s been really nice having a reliable social interaction semi-regularly, with similar minded folks, during the pandemic, and during other hard personal times since then. Honestly, if I remember correctly and you said the contest was for 2, if I could surprise him over the holidays with a surprise GOD tier vape, he would lose his mind, and I’d be 1,000% willing to donate the other one to another contest entry person. I’d love it of course, but I just treated myself to a Venty and an Ace, I’d prefer to spread the love.

From the first time I saw it, I was intrigued. Yes, the design is a little strange, but it seems to have its own why. Honestly though, what really interests me is how it works. I love the smooth vapor, flavor that a good convection vaporizer can give! The fact that it can light up so quickly is a big plus. Some times you need a quick medication for various reasons.
It is not yet clear to me how much vapor it can produce at low temperatures, I understand it is not much. Perhaps that is the only thing I am not excited about.
Hearing interviews from the creator of this vaporizer and the way they communicate the brand is icing on the cake. I can’t wait to try it… and have someone try it!

Tafee has been really innovative and I really enjoyed the original Bowle. Battery life was the biggest setback, like it was noted here. I’m excited to see if there’s a Tafée product in the future with a different form factor. Ive been eyeing the Taffee Bowle 2.0 ever since it released and I saw you guys testing it out and thoroughly enjoying the insanely fast heat up time and the great flavor/vapor quality. The style of this vaporizer is unconventional, but beyond functional and I REALLY like that about it..
This would be damn near the perfect vaporizer for my wife. She suffers from multiple, genetic terminal illnesses, such as Mitochondrial disease, Vascular EDS, Chrohns disease, Gastroparesis, Chiari Malformation, and even more illnesses I won’t list.
She gets her nutrition through her central line with something called TPN. She’s hooked up to her TPN for 14 hours a day for nutrition and to help her maintain her weight. She’s turning 27 on December 19th. It’s honestly a miracle that she’s made it this far. I really don’t how much longer I have with this amazing lady and that really scares me.
She uses a J-tube for formula feeds, but can no longer tolerate the formula, hence the IV TPN nutrition. J-tube is now only used to push medications. She’s had the same J-tube tract for multiple years and she will be having major abdominal surgery in January 2025 to place a new J-tube tract. The healing process is going to be a very lengthy one. As Vascular EDS hinders your skins ability to heal at the same rate as a “normal’ person and also introduces a lot of complications when it comes to recovery/healing, especially from surgery.
To say that we are in and out of the hospital is a complete understatement. I really couldnt tell you how many days I’ve spent in the hospital with my wife this year. It’s been a very rough year health wise for my wife, and myself as well.
I really feel like this would be a PERFECT vape to bring and use at the hospital as I can straight up just act like it’s a cup or a bowl for some snacks. I would feel a lot less guilty hitting the Tafee Bowle in front of UC Davis Med center pretending it’s a cup/bowl instead of heating up my Dynavap/Hyperdyn/Tempest with the wand.
Not to mention, it looks so discrete, I would be able to to put it on the hospital tray that goes over the patients bed without the nurses even batting an eye at it and thinking that it’s a vaporizer. I could also bring the sploofy along and be able to let my wife sneak some hits of flower in her hospital bed. Something I’ve only able been able to do with VERY light packs in a DV.
I wouldn’t dream of taking a Hyperdyn or Tempest hit in the hospital room. But outside in the waiting area/drop off zone is a different ball game.
To long didnt read. I think this would be that absolute perfect portable vaporizer for my wife who is constantly in and out of the hospital and looking at a major abdominal surgery. It’s quirky shape wouldn’t make the nurses think twice that it’s a vaporizer. Especially with it chilling with some liquid or food in the bowl.
If it was in my price range I would buy this in a heartbeat. The pure satisfaction that I’ve seen Troy and Jerry get out of using the Tafee Bowl 2.0 has genuinely been a treat to watch and listen about.
As soon I’m hopefully able to afford it, I’d really like to grab one of these for the days/weeks, and months in total that I end up staying at hospital. This kind of discreet vaporizer is truly what I’m after for on the go. It would be absolutely amazing to be able to win this giveaway. If not, all good! Would love to win it. I am cosidering saving up for a while to get the Bowle if I don’t win. I especially like attention they gave to superior cooling at high temps and very good accessories for loading the vape – very geared towards medical patients.
Vaping at 220C without a problem and easily switching automatically filled open pods is the dream. I do like my newish TM2 but it’s so hot, capable but hot. I wouldn’t part with it, but the Bowle seem better as a main device. Let’s hope for a win!
I was initially not interested in the Bowle but after hearing your rave reviews I am now. I mainly use my Venty, Tinymight 2, Dynavaps, and CH ball vapes but this would be a nice addition to the group.

This bowl is so very disco and I really hope I’m commenting on the right post in the right place but if not like Doris Day said sayra sayra or however it’s spelt. I would like to see how this bad boy stacks up to all of the old easy Mac bowls I use for cereal. Wooohooo. Thanks for the chance.
Nice pictures of an interesting, unique device! The stubby stem makes it quite pocket friendly, so it could be taken out for a hike.
I like the engineering behind it and that it comes in a plain silver color.

This device is one of the best, it’s sublime in vapor quality & vape time. When the first one came out it was right around tinymight & the build was just superior as well as the vapor it produced the cup was just cool aesthetically & conversational, easy way to introduce without too many gimmicks just load and draw.

Always wanted a bowle but its out of my budget, im always sipping on something while i vape since i have very dry mouth so the bowle is very appealing to me with the cup system, would love to try it someday. At first, I wasn’t sure about the cup. However, there was a comment about the cup holding snacks while using the vape and that seems like a pretty good use of the existing form factor. I would love to win one and find out for myself. Thank you.

Not sure about the cup. but this device seems to give out some premium vapor. Hopefully an alternate Tafee minus the bowl in the the near future. Although it would be nice to taste this one. Hope i win, fingers crossed.

At first the design didnt catch my eye but when i saw the reviews, especially the one made by troy on 420vape it really got my attention, its currently out of my budget but I would love to try it eventually, i feel like it might calm my VAS at least for a while.
I would have to think long and hard about buying one of these, although they are pretty neat. I would be happier with a couple of Dynavaps I think, although I see the potential this thing has. The stealthy form factor is a big plus, but I can’t help thinking this device is a bit overpriced in comparison to your other vape options.
The cup seems a little gimmicky, but I’ve never seen anyone who has actually used this thing say a negative word about it. I’d love to see more third party mods that take advantage of the unique shape of this thing.
I have the original bowle and the performance of the on demand is great but the poor battery capasity just puts me off. I would love to have the new one to use for myself and the second oine I will give to my son who basically only smokes but when we are together he loves using it.

Interesting looking vape. I like the fact that they’ve done something totally different from most vape companies. Just looking at it, I wouldn’t think to purchase it. Looks odd, but if both Troy and Jerry give it the thumbs up, must be a decent hitter.

This is such an interesting device, so many things that come across as weird to a seasoned vaper(the cup, no WPA, crucibles, form factor) but that fast heat up and battery life are so enticing… Also the interview with Bruno suggests this would be a good device to convert newbies so I’m hopeful for this double giveaway🤞
From all the reviews, this seems like a well thought out device that seems to upgrade everything that was wrong with the previous version. I like the form factor a lot too, it’s the most stable upright premium handheld! Honestly the cup is a bit awkward and I hope they come out with some other types of attachments at some point (or some third party creators do, at least).

I love my desktop options, but I’ve had some trouble finding a portable that hits all the buttons for me. These Tafee Bowles have a very different aesthetic than the others I’ve contemplated purchasing. That in itself means very little to me. It’s cool, but I am more concerned with function. Every person that I’ve seen hit one of these devices, is blown away by the function and taste. That is what I’m looking for, for sure. The devices are pretty expensive, so I’m starting to save away for the eventual purchase. Thanks again Troy and Jerry.
The Tafee Bowle design’s thinking was original, and the execution amazing in that it does so many things so well. I’m truly impressed with everything about it. I wish the company well, and I’m hopeful for the country. In any case, I’m going down blissed!

And finally my favorite my Vapvana Screwball! I would love to win this tafee bowl really looks cool, got like a futuristic device. I definitely would like to get that perfect hit like you were saying on the Troyandjerry show. Did I say it’s a great show that I watch weekly. The over $400 is to much for me to handle. The tafee bowl would make a Great Addition to my small vaporizer collection. Always thought this was the perfect pairing. Can sip on your choice & prevent that dry throat/irritation that often comes from vaping at high temp(think bickle-tickle). Normally have to bring a drink w/ me to vape, w/ this, it’s already ready for me.
Such a cool concept for a vape! The improvements from the original really seem to make it one of the best options for an at-home device that’s not tethered to a desk. Hydrate or diedrate!!

I’m what my family calls a “beverage tyrant”. I love drinks and one of my favorites is Coffee paired with weed. Until you guys I had no idea that something so perfectly curated just for me existed. Those enjoyments (coffee and weed) were brought to my life happily by my loving Husband. I’m thankful to be able to share my cannabis and coffee mornings with the love of my life.
This invention would just perfectly elevate my husband and I’s mornings (and days) together.

Such a cool little multipurpose device! Having any soothing beverage after some behemoth vapor clouds seems like it’s both obvious and genius! I wonder what kind of cool stuff this will lead to, like a mug reusing the heat to keep some tea warm in-between comfy indoor or mountaintop rips.
