Storz & Bickel Veazy Review

After testing the Veazy for nearly a year, it’s a winner.

It doesn’t replace a Venty with its tighter draw, but it lines up well against the Mighty+.
The vapor is mostly the same, but it’s smaller with color choices and a lower price.

The Veazy can’t hide in the hand, but feels great in the pocket.

The Veazy is a nice choice for vaporists looking for small-ish vapes with respectable vapor.

The Veazy delivers that Storz & Bickel Signature vapor – fluffy and flavorful just like the Volcano.

Veazy – Most affordable S&B dry herb vaporizer

The Veazy retails for$250, which is $200 less than the Venty, so you can save some money with this vape. It’s taller than the Crafty+, but shorter than the Mighty+ by a hair. In my opinion, this vape effectively replaces the Crafty+ in the S&B lineup. Plus, it’s customizable with the S&B smartphone app!

Classic S&B vapor

The Veazy doesn’t disappoint in the vapor department. Sessions are just like all the other S&B portables – tasty, fluffy and effective. If you’ve ever used an S&B portable before, you kow what you’re in store for. The Veazy never overcooks the herbs thanks to its impeccable temperature control.

Vaporists with a sensitive palate may be able to taste the difference between the Veazy and Venty or Mighty+. The Veazy uses a mesh heater that has a slightly different flavor than the more premium Venty and Mighty+.

The Veazy bowl is the same size as all other S&B portable dry herb vaporizers. The lip at the top is a little shorter, but the bowl holds the same dosing capsules.

Not as open as the Venty

The Veazy isn’t going to replace anyone’s Venty – it’s just doesn’t have the same open air flow. It feels about as open as all the other S&B portables. While the vapor is stellar, it doesn’t have the same open, easy and comfortable draw as the Venty.

Check out the picture below. You can see how much more air can flow through the bowl in the Venty (left). The Veazy (right) has a tighter draw, and I have no idea what is directly below the bowl. It looks shiny and metallic…maybe some sort of metal mesh?

The Venty heater on the left has bigger holes and better air flow. I’m not sure what is below the bowl in the Veazy heater. I gotta tear this apart later!

Veazy Ranks High in Portability

The Veazy is the most pocketable portable from Storz & Bickel. It’s taller than the Crafty+, but its slimmer profile felt great in my pocket. I carried it around town for days in my front pocket and barely knew it was there. Check out how it compares to some other small vapes in the picture below.

7 sessions per charge

Interestingly, the battery life seems to be on par with the Crafty+, as well. I have gotten seven session per charge twice now. I tend to run a session until it’s over, and I run it at the highest temperatures. Your battery life may vary depending on how you like to use it.

Veazy Vaporizer USB C charge port
The Veazy interface is simple – one button, one light, and a USB-C charge port. I got seven sessions per charge.

Four okay colors

To be honest, I was really excited about the orange color until I got it (I didn’t get to see any of the colors before I chose). But when I first got it I couldn’t help but feel like it was cheap. I know it’s a quality vape from a trusted manufacturer, but the colors don’t help. They’re matte, not shiny, and need more contrast on the bodies. All the buttons are the same orange color, and I think the button gives the needed contrast on the blue, pink and black versions. But the orange Veazy needs more help. I think I would choose black next time.

The web app is a must for me

Out of the box, the Veazy has one on-board temperature with two boost modes. With the app, you can customize each of these, as well as other settings. I changed my start temperature to 410F since that’s how I vape most of the time. I also activated the Permanent Boost setting so the Veazy doesn’t drop back down to lower temps after I boost.

This was a game-changer for me because I was constantly fiddling with the button before the adjustments. Now it’s set up just how I like it! You cna use the web app with any smartphone, and I also was able to connect with a PC.

I changed my startup temperature from 356F to 410F because I like to have all my sessions at the highest temperature. The Veazy remembers the temp change so I don’t have to use the app again!

I also activated the permanent boost so it wouldn’t drop back down to a lower temp after I temp step upward. (This is useless when I start at 410F, but great when I start lower.)

Great for beginners and S&B first-timers

I think the Veazy is a great beginner vape, delivering fantastic performance for a mid-tier price. I also think it’s going to be great for people who want their first taste of Storz & Bickel vapor. The price is lower than their other portables, but the vapor is spot on. But if you already have an S&B vaporizer, the Veazy doesn’t bring anything new but the size and color. If you’re all about the vapor and already have a Crafty+ or Mighty+, there’s no need to grab this one.

The Veazy controls are familiar if you’ve had an S&B vape before. The Veazy works almost identically to the Crafty+, without a smartphone app.

Is Veazy the Best Vaporizer?

No. There are several portable vaporizers ranked higher than the Veazy, including the Venty.

Veazy is more ideal for beginners and casual vaporists. It’s a good vape, but compared to other vapes on our Best Portable Vaporizers page, there are better choices.

Veazy Vaporizer FAQ

Is the Veazy as good as the Venty?

It is not. The vapor is similar, but the Veazy doesn’t have the same power or airflow as the Venty. The Venty features a more accurate heater and an interface for temperature control. The Veazy uses an app to control temps.

Is Veazy compatible with Venty accessories?

Some Storz & Bickel accessories will work! Accessories like dosing capsules and charging cables are cross-compatible, but the cooling units are not compatible.

Is the Veazy better than the Crafty+?

These two vapes are very similar in performance and vapor. The Veazy uses the newest Storz & Bickel vaporizer technology. The Veazy is likely the better vape.

What is the Veazy made out of?

The Veazy vaporizer body is made out of PEEK. Its heater is unknown at this time, but it is assumed to be aluminum, similar to the Venty, Mighty, and Volcano vaporizers.

Does Veazy vape concentrates?

The Veazy can vaporizer cannabis concentrates using a stainless steel mesh pad or by adding the dabs directly to a bowl of dry herb.

And now, let’s get to the rest of the pictures. Here we go…

It’s way easier to pull the top of the cooling unit off when it is still attached to the body of the Veazy. Here I have already removed the cover.

Once it’s ready, the Veazy will vibrate and the light will turn green. Solid green is the lowest temperature (356F/180C). Double-click the power button and the light will turn orange and flash until it reaches the second temperature (383F/195C). At the middle temp, the light will be a brighter green on the bottom half than the top half. Double-click the button again and the light will flash orange faster until it reaches the highest temp (410F/210C) and turn green. At this temp the top half of the light will be brighter than the bottom half.

  1. I really love the accessibility of the Veazy. With capsules prepacked this one works at any given Time and in every state. Really a no brainer.
In comparison to the Mighty OG I notice a less visible exhale when used with about 330°F, extraction and effect seems to stay equal.

  2. Even though I don’t own the Veazy, the way it’s shaped makes me think it’d sit perfectly in the palm of a hand. I’d get real use out of it-just imagine how many clouds I could make. But the battery would keep me from living my best life. Let’s figure out a way on how to solar charge these batteries.
