#1 Best Portable Vape: Limelight Frolic

The Frolic from Limelight debuted at #4, but after almost a year of superlative service, it’s now at the top of the list. It has dominated our reach tests since we got it. Imagine TinyMight 2 powered by a Storz & Bickel build and Venty airflow. Yeah, this thing punches and really satisfies any herbal appetite! Full digital controls are located at the bottom of the vape, which pairs perfectly with my bubbler, and it features a replaceable 21700 battery and a USB-C charging port.

Jerry’s take: The Frolic was one of my favorite portables, even with early adopter pains. But those have already been worked out, and now it’s one of the few portables I grab throughout the week. It hits like a TinyMight 2, but with Storz & Bickel accuracy. This is a spectacular vape that is easy to recommend!

Troy’s take: The Frolic is stealing my heart! As the early adopter wrinkles are ironed out, so are all the other vaporizers on my reach list! This vape has the airflow of the Venty with the power of the Tinymight 2. It heats up fast and slaps harder than any other battery-powered portable. It’s not quite as easy to use as the S&B devices, but the vapor potency surpasses them.

#2 Best Portable Punch: TinyMight 2

The Tinymight 2 started out at the top of this list, but has been surpassed by the Frolic. But that doesn’t mean the TM2 is out to pasture. It’s still the most pocketable portable of the punchy group. It absolutely smacks and is most likely the hardest hitter on this list (but it’s close). It’s expensive, starting at $349, with special variants going for over $550. But if. you want the smallest vape with the biggest punch, this one still rules.

This little beast is a full convection vape with superb taste and efficiency. It has Session and On-demand modes with a lightning-fast heat-up time. Battery life is decent, but is mitigated by a removable 18650 cell. The clouds the Tinymight 2 can chuck out with just a single 18650 battery are impressive. Hits are fast and full-bodied. This is the first vape I grab when I want the strongest portable vapor possible.

We love this vape because it checks all the boxes and fits in the palm of your hand. It’s massively powerful and wickedly flavorful. The Tinymight 2 is the perfect vape for many.

420vapezone ranks the Tinymight 4th on its Best Portable Vapes list, but agrees that it’s very much capable of holding the #1 position. It’s a solid vape that is hard to beat.

Jerry’s take: This is still my #1 pocket powerhouse. Nothing this strong is this pocketable. I prefer the purpleheart version because it’s even more beautiful, and I love the included beaded stem. But the new black is super dope!

Troy’s take: TM2 is powerful and tasty. It has more power and flavor potential than the Frolic, but it’s more effort to use and maintain. This vape is great for tinkerers and serious smokers, but its interface feels a bit DIY.

#3 Best Vape – The Venty

The Storz & Bickel Venty earns the 3rd seat on our Best Dry Herb Vaporizer list because it has the fluffiest vapor, the most open airflow, and an impressive battery. The Venty will also set you back quite a bit ($399 before code), but it sets a new standard in airflow for a portable dry herb vape. It’s named the Venty for its 20-second heat-up time and the 20 liters per minute (lpm) air flow. You may not know what 20 lpm feels like, but it’s safe to say this vape eliminates the work most vapes require to produce vapor.

The Venty air flow is two to three times more open than any other portable vape, and it feels effortless to get high. A vape with tight airflow can feel like you’re sucking a golf ball through a water hose. But the Venty feels like you’re just breathing vapor. #4 Arizer Solo 3 – Best Flavor

Arizer surprised us all with the release of the Solo 3 (save 20% with code “troyandjerry20”), not just because it came out right after the Solo 2 MAX, but also for its enhancements. Arizer gave us what we’ve wanted for years – a bigger bowl and a faster, more powerful heater. #6 The POTV Lobo – Great Budget Vape

The POTV Lobo is easily the most affordable vape on this list and, for that reason alone, warrants consideration. But that’s not all…it hits like a tank! For just $159, the Lobo packs a strong punch with a ton of style and versatility. Grab it in classic black, a striking electric blue, or a deep forest green.

The Lobo feature set is outstanding. Start a vape with a dry stem and finish it on a bong in the same session without ever missing a beat.

Jerry’s take: If you want dense, punchy vapor without spending $400, this is where you start. The vapor is potent, even with little sips. Longer rips at higher temps can leave you in a daze, but you’ll want a Gordito mini-bubbler or a water pipe adapter combined with your favorite bubbler to take it down. Best bang-for-your-buck in the face-melting category.

Troy’s take: The Lobo raised the bar for budget vapes. It’s a great little vape with a plethora of accessories. PotV offers the best guarantee in the game with this vape, too. This is the vape to get if you’re just getting into vapes.

#7 Healthy Rips Rogue 2 – A Refined Classic

The Rogue 2 from Healthy Rips offers a very refined experience, building on more than five other vapes before it. It feels great in the hand, the controls are simple and complete, and the vapor is spot on.

The Rogue 2 moves up a spot above the Lobo on this list, depending on who you talk to. Troy prefers the Rogue because it really rewards longer hits with big punch and excellent taste. As Jerry said, the second hit off the Rogue 2 is righteous. Jerry prefers the Lobo because it delivers a stronger punch on shorter hits, at the expense of some flavor (and he’s biased). The Rogue 2 is a few bucks less at $139, and is a solid choice for anyone!

Jerry’s take: You can’t go wrong with this vape. It’s like a bigger ONE with a bigger bowl, better battery life, and a gorgeous outer shell. Super easy to use and share, and if you take big, long rips, this vape rewards!

Troy’s take: I like the Rogue 2 a lot. It feels better in my pocket than the Lobo, and it packs just as much punch. Their accessories aren’t as nice as the PotV glass lineup, but I usually use the stock mouthpiece on these vapes. The Rogue 2 is my favorite budget vape. Fury 3 is just as good, just with a smaller bowl and slightly tighter draw.

#8 – The JoyStik – Best Ball-Stick Vape

By VICES OZ, this Australian stick vape has balls in its heater and balls in its cooling stem. This micro-ball vape packs more flavor and more punch than any other default configuration stick vape. The glass tube and glass cooling balls help maintain the purest of vapor flavor.

#9 – Dynavap G3 – King of the Budgets

The Dynavap G3 has set the bar for budget vapes. The G3 comes with a lighter and metal travel case for just $35! Best of all, there is no sacrifice in performance. The bowl is smaller than typical Dynavaps, but the hits are strong and tasty. The all-glass stem is perfect for flavor without roast.

The stem is a little shorter than most Dynavaps, but the ritual remains the same. Fire up the lighter, twirl the cap in the flame, and wait for the click. The lighter has a red flame that is easier to see in the day light. We really can’t see any reason not to own this vape!

Jerry’s take: The G3 might be DynaVap’s greatest accomplishment – a full vaporizer kit that hits great for only $35. I wouldn’t pick this DynaVap as a daily driver if I could afford a different model, but at this price point I have no reservations about the risk/reward payout for any user. Everyone should get this!

Troy’s take: This is my new favorite Dynavap. It’s so cheap, and so much more flavorful than the rest of their lineup. This is a great budget vape for beginners and a must-have vape for growers to experience their terpenes.
