Solo 3 is a top shelf vape

Arizer long cornered the market on affordable dry herb vapes with incredible taste, but they lacked a bigger, stronger option. After at least eight different versions of the same portable vaporizer experience (Solo, Air and ArGo models), Arizer finally gave us something with more punch, and it was worth the wait! The Solo 3 punches like the 800-pound gorilla in the room and only feels like an Arizer portable vape due to its form factor. We can confidently say it’s one of the most satisfying portable vapes we’ve used!
Bigger bowls, bigger heater, bigger hits!

XL bowl on the left, Original size bowl on right.
Ever wanted to get higher with your Arizer vape? Step up to the Solo 3 that comes with two sets of stems (aroma tubes, stems, whatever) and water pipe adapters. One set has the original sized Arizer bowl, and the other set has XL bowls that are double the size! The original bowl holds between one and two tenths of a gram depending on how you pack it (mine is about 0.12 grams), while the XL bowl easily holds a quarter gram with room to spare.
The Solo 3 heater is a blend of conduction and convection that smacks like a beast. Couple that with the bigger bowl, and I easily get lifted!
What heat up time? On-demand, baby!
The Solo 3 heats up so quickly (10-20 seconds) that Arizer decided to add an On-demand mode. Now you can skip the full sessions and just take down one hit of vapor at your own pace.
When you start the vape up, you are asked whether you want Session or On-demand mode. If you want to sit down and take down the whole bowl, choose Session mode. But if you want to slow it down and come back to the same bowl later, try On-demand. However, make sure to remove the stem between hits with On-demand mode or the stored heat will cook through the bowl before you come back.

A look down into both bowls. The XL bowl on the left has an extra hole in the center for air flow. The Original bowl is on the right.
Respectable battery life

The Solo 3’s USB-C charge port is located on the backside near the bottom.
Arizer claims three hours of runtime with the Solo 3 on a single charge. While that is probably achievable with low demand sessions, my aggressive style netted me about one hour of runtime. In total I got 18 bowls from one charge in Session mode when set to 390F. Battery life is getting harder and harder to directly compare from vape to vape with On-demand vapes catering to all kinds of hit styles. But it’s safe to say the Solo 3 is stacked in the power department.
Portable, not pocketable

The Arizer Solo 3 is no small vape! I use the 3D Flow Aroma Stem to cool the vapor and reduce the profile.
The Solo 3 is anything but small. With the stem installed it stands at 7.5 inches tall! That’s the tallest portable vape I own. And it weighs ⅔ of a pound…you will feel that in your pocket, if it fits. Technically, the Solo 3 is only portable in the sense that it isn’t plugged in when you use it. I still don’t take it anywhere but around the house and yard, or on beach walks. It is, however, great for travel when you go somewhere for days and don’t want to bring a big plug-in vape for the trip. It hits hard enough to forego the desktop!
Easy to clean
One of the best things about the Arizer portable design is how easy it is to clean. All the mess is in the glass stems. Clean the stems and you have a new vape! But the best part is how you can clean them. Forget the isopropyl alcohol and make some weed hot chocolate! Boil your dirty stems in milk until the oils melt off and your stem will be squeaky clean. Then add some chocolate to the milk and you’ve got an incredible nightcap…these drink sessions can be some of the strongest!
Different session styles

No matter what your style, be sure to try the Solo 3 on a bubbler!
One-and-Done Temp
When I want to set an Arizer vape to one temp and ride it all the way through, my favorite setting is 405F. But the Solo 3 is so aggressive that I set it to 333F to tone it down for a similar session. The flavor lasts through most of the session, and the herbs come out dark tan, not scorched.
Flavor Chaser
When I feel like flavor is all that matters, I’ll use the smaller bowl and turn the temperature down to 300F for a relaxing session.
Fast and Furious
Wanna rush through a bowl and get jacked up? Pack the XL bowl and set the Solo 3 to On-demand Mode on temp level IV. I can crush a bowl in two hits, and the remains are dark and roasty.
My Favorite Session Settings
Surprisingly enough, my favorite session uses On-demand mode. I pack the XL bowl and set the On-demand temp to level III, with the timer set to 20 seconds. I can finish a bowl in three long hits without any roasty flavor, and the remains are cooked to an even tan throughout.
Solo 3 vs other Arizer portable vapes

From left to right: ArGo, Air Max, Solo 2 MAX, Solo 3
An important distinction about the Solo 3 is that it doesn’t hit like other Arizer portables…any of them. The Solo 3 has an aggressive heater that cooks everything quicker and more fully. While I was frustrated with fully extracting everything quickly on my older Arizer portables, I have to hold the Solo 3 back.
The form factor is identical, and while you use and clean the Solo 3 the same as the Solo 2, I have to turn down the temp on the Solo 3 by 50F to 80F to get a session similar to the Solo 2. Sessions that would take six or seven hits to finish on the Solo 2 now only take three or four hits with the Solo 3.
Arizer Solo 3 vs Storz & Bickel Venty
Troy uses these vapes so much that I wouldn’t go anywhere else with this question. The Mighty+ has been his travel vape forever, and the Venty easily slid into that spot. But the Solo 3 hits harder and is what he reaches for around the house. When it’s time to travel, he’d rather grab the Venty because, even though it’s big, it’s more pocketable with the shorter mouthpiece.

Awesome review. I love my Air Max and would love to try the Solo III!
Love the content you guys put out so much! Would be so hyped to fianally add this to my line-up. I’m a daily pure vapist with a medical script. Arizer was my first vape I owned, but never got into the Solo’s..etc. This Solo 3 would be so hype, and really suit my needs. Thank you for the chance to win this sweet vaporizer!
Gonna say been watching you almost close to two years. Before that I never thought of vaping only smoked out a bong and a pipe. Then I started getting interested in vapes and that’s when I found your guys podcast. I knew I wanted a heavy hitter and it either gonna be a ballvape or a volcanoe. I decided on a ballvape but that when the terp ready came out and I saw ur guys review on the dab ready and I decided to be one of the first to get on board going wireless. I haven’t been the same since lol. After this I wanted something portable and something storz-bickel. All was doing was waiting for storz-bickel to come out with a new portable and luckily they did. I choose storz and bickel because of the praise u guys gave the mighty plus. So when the vemty came out I got it, unluckily I’ve gotten 2 eo4 errors and I decided on my third unit I was gonna keep it after some thought of selling it and geting a tinymight 2. Good thing I kept the the ventycause it the best portablein my opinion. Right after I decided to keep it the solo 3 came out and I was like God damn that shit dope. That be dope to win one cause unlike the venty the solo 3 got a legit on demand mode. It would be dope to win lol. Just wanna say thanks to guys for the content and all the great vape knowledge you guys put out. Peace be the journey.
I love the Arizer products, the ease of loading via the straw method, and then the ease/level of maintenance they need, sets them above the S&B products for me now… which I never thought I’d say! The only thing I’d like to know though, will they be bringing out a longer charging cable for Solo III? I’ve heard that you should only ever use the stock cable, but that it’s not very long. I also want to say that I’ll never forget when I found out about avb… I was actually watching one of Troy’s videos… my mind was blown and I’ve never looked back!! 😂💪
What a beauty, i love my Solo 2 and the upgrades are definetly a worthwhile investment, these are built to last a lifetime and its not easy competing and winning against the best consistently tasty, great clouds, no plastic, its on my vape wishlist for sure, as always fantastic work from Arizer.
The Solo III looks like it will be great for hash on the go. Does it combust if the pack is too tight?
I am very interested in the Solo 3 after enjoying the Solo 2 and Air Max. Is there any way to disable the unlock/password? Either way, it’s seems like a killer heavy-hitting portable. It’s great that it’s backwards compatible with the old stems.
Again POTV is doing amazing things!
Solo 3 would be an amazing thing to have. I wonder if it has the ability to do a 1 & Done, for those ppl wishing to grab & go bowl.
Very exciting giveaway from POTV always giving away fantastic vapes
Thank you
Hello,
thank you for the great content guys. Everytime im looking for a new vape I just have to look at your videos and website.
I own a crafty+ but im looking for something harder hitting. Can you recommend the solo 3 for that?
How many bowels do you get with a single charge?
I have the original Tiny Mite and was wondering if the Arizer solo lll has the same type of hit. Plus wondering if it has a replaceable batteries. Keep up the great content I tune in every Friday Cheers
@Troy and @Jerry, I just wanted to take a moment to truly thank you both from the bottom of my heart. Your help with my Vape choices and the guidance on making the switch from smoking to vaping has meant more to me than I can put into words. Change isn’t always easy, but having people like you in my corner—willing to share your knowledge and support—makes all the difference. It’s not just about the advice; it’s about the time, patience, and kindness you’ve shown, and that’s something I deeply appreciate.
Also, I have to say, the Ariza Solo Three looks like an absolutely amazing device! Having owned all the previous models, I can’t wait to get my hands on this one. It’s incredible to see how much the design and performance keep improving, and this one seems like the best yet.
Does it have passthrough charging ? To be used while in charge ?
Thanks again, guys—you’re legends!
Thanks for the giveaway!
The Solo III Should be A 3-press on and off especially when used back to back. Haha
Troy and Jerry,
I know you said in the above article that the Arizer Solo III works well with a bubbler. My hope for utilizing this smoke product would be to bring it as a travel flower vaporizer to attach to my friends glass rigs, on-the-go. This would be an incredible step up from portablizing my Oldhead Hammer setup.
My question is as follows…is the Arizer Solo III the best portable vaporizer to attach to a bubbler, a glass water bong rig? I only want the best and you guys have tried many portable devices that attach to bubblers. Let me know…thanks.
Man you guys have changed my life, 2 years ago I got my medical card and stumbled into your sight., It changed my life I now only vape dry herb, I have everything from vapvana but no portable, it would be awesome to enjoy the all glass pathway the solo 3 has, either way I’m so very greatfull for Troy and Jerry, love you guys..
Arizer solo 3, I would love to add this to my collection.
I’ve had my eye for awhile now on this beautiful device… I could see myself flavor saving we with a solo 3. Troy and Jerry for the win! Thanks again 👍😊 🙏
Everyone I know with an Arizer three bloody loves it. Always been curious how compared to my GOAT the Tinymight 2. Great show as always lads
I know I won’t win but I’ll try anyway
You guys are awesome always enjoy Friday with you guys. Never used any arizer but only see and hear good things. Thanks again for the content and hopefully get a chance to experience arizer tasty vaper.
Love sessioning with you guys each week. When watching each stream, not only do we get to chill with you but we get to see the latest hardware and learn new techniques. Keep up the good work.
Wow!! You guys were fantastic last night. I had to finish up this morning. When I opened YouTube this morning and saw that you went an additional 2 plus hrs. I smiled. Great work. I wish you guys lived on the same coast.
I have owned an Ariza EQ for about 6 years now and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Solo 3 would be just what I need in the battery portable vape category and do battle with all my Dynavaps in the portable space.
Any way keep up the great work.
Another fantastic giveaway! I have heard great things about Arizer and its products and how they are loved even after years by some fans. The older models never intrigued me too much due to the fact that the session was very long. But this Solo III seems to be something else entirely! Incredible power, great with hash, session and on demand. Fantastic, I would be curious to try it out! The only thing that makes me turn my nose up at it is the glass screens. I hate them because they usually always go material through and reduce the airflow too much….
Last night’s stream was so much fun! This is such a cool giveaway. I’ve gotten to try the Solo II from a friend who has it, but I’m super intrigued by the upgrades from the Solo III! Do you have a favorite style of glass to put the Solo III on? Bong-ability is a huge factor for me and I’d love to know what you’re hitting it on if using a bong!
My first vape that worked well was an Arizer extreme Q, but I wish I’d found the vape community at the time because I definitely had issues and questions I never found the answers to. It’s great to see how far Arizer and the vape community as a whole have come in the last decade. Would be fun to side by side my old extreme Q with a new Solo 3.
Will the solo III hit harder than a lobo? I own a logo and use dosing capsules and it doesn’t hit hard at all. Will the solo III do the job, or should I go with a tm2?
The Solo2 was the first serious vape, and it has served me well for many years. I’d love to experience the difference between that and the Solo3. Thanks for being the most trusted vape review site out there!
Much love from the Netherlands, Troy and Jer! Long time fan of the show and love to spread the vape love all over the globe. Peace out my dudes! ✌🏻❤️
Solo 2 was solid … intrigued by solo 3 to see if it can keep up with Venty . Fingers crossed.
Troy and Jerry, my lungs want to thank you both for aiding me in my dry herb vape journey. I am a long time smoker of herb, never tobacco, and when I decided to find a healthier alternative I started watching your videos for some guidance. The vast improvement with my lung health was almost immediate. Even though it’s been a couple years now since making the change with a growing collection of vapes there is still plenty more to explore. Eventually I will need to add a solo 3 to the collection as well as a ball vape. If either of you are ever in Michigan I would offer a bowl or two. Take care and keep riding on A Passage to Bangkok.
I have the Solo 2 and it’s great. I can’t wait to try the Solo 3!
These write ups are awesome guys! Ive only ever tried the solo 2 but the 3 looks like a big improvement. I have a feeling I would reach for this over my mighty just for ease of cleaning. Thanks for giving us the chance to get hooked up with one!
i love the review i am new to vaping and you guys are the shit! i’ve only got my hands on a mighty and i would absolutly love to try something new!! you inspired me and my buddy to get the ace kit to vape together after the review and i do not regret it. i love reading the in depth reviews. Keep it up guys.
From down under 🇦🇺
Thanks for another giveaway! Is solo 3 good for one big hit and done or does it take a bit to get vapor? Can you really tell a difference in taste with the all glass path?
Heck Ya you guys are doing amazing things for a small community. Hopefully dry herb vaporizers continue to catch on because it would be really cool if growers started prioritizing flavor as well as potency.
I have been interested in the Solo III for some time, but thought it wouldn’t be a big change from my TM2. That is until it was spelled out for me in a very informative video by two experts in the field, Dr Stickstones and Dr. Troy. These two virtuosos of vapor fastidiously crafted a video explaining the Arizer advancements in the Solo III, including the larger bowl, on demand and an XL stem for yes, an XL man. After receiving an education from the wizards of weed, I too would like the ability to experience sucking on a vapor titty, and would love an Arizer Solo III to be in the future for me. Cheers!
Love the review and love watching you guys on Friday nights! I’ve heard such great things about the solo 3 and its ability to produce really good flavor and work especially well through a bong would love to have one! Good luck to everyone.
I was really surprised when I heard the Solo 3 is on par with Mighty/Venty.
It would be really cool to check it out.
Its awesome you’re doing so much giveaways 🙂
Great content btw
Man, you guys are on a roll with the giveaways. Would love to win me one of these (who wouldn’t lol). Always fun watching the show, the banter last week was pretty hilarious with you two together in person. The arizer song was too. Ariiiiiizerrrrrr. Good luck everyone, thanks T&J + Arizer for the opportunity.
Really love the Arizer line of products, I have an Air2 and had an XQ2 for quite a while. Both are great flavor producing vapes with the all glass air paths. I have really been wanting to try the Solo 3 out with its new on demand mode.
The glass tube system looks great for flavor. And it’s amazing that the III is so much more powerful, enough to extract that fast, and go on demand, even with the XL bowl! Been curious to try an Air or Solo for a while, but this takes it to a new level. Would be an awesome vape for camping and using on a bubbler… Good luck all!
solo 3 looks awesome! one question i have is the on demand comparable to tinymight even with the hybrid heating, is it much different? thank you!
I had a Solo but did not enjoy the poor air flow. I woul love to have the Solo III to experience the all glass pathway without sucking so hard that my cheeks hurt. Love your show and all the content.
Best Regards.
That solo 3 is a beauty… Would love to have one. Thank you for the opportunity to win one of these bad boys.
