The TinyMight 2 – Portable Knockout
Leading off our list of the six best portable dry herb vapes, as of Fall 2024, is the Tinymight 2, pictured above in the Purple Heart version with the beaded cooling stem. This vape absolutely smacks and is most likely the hardest hitter on this list (but it’s close). It’s a pretty penny, at $349, and the Purple Heart will set you back $425.
This little beast is a full convection vape with superb taste and efficiency. It has Session and On-demand modes with a lighting fast heat up time. Battery life is decent, but is mitigated by a removable 18650 cell. The clouds the Tinymight 2 can chuck out with just a single 18650 battery are impressive. Hits are fast and full-bodied. This is the first vape I grab when I want the strongest portable vapor possible.
The Venty – New Standard in Airflow
The Storz & Bickel Venty will also set you back quite a bit ($449), but sets a new standard in air flow for a portable dry herb vape. It’s named the Venty for its 20 second heat up time and the 20 liters per minute (lpm) air flow. You may not know what 20 lpm feels like, but it’s safe to say this vape eliminates the work most vapes make you put in to get vapor.
The Venty air flow is two to three times more open than any other portable vape, and it feels effortless to get high. A vape with tight air flow can feel like you’re sucking a golf ball through a water hose. But the Venty feels like you’re just breathing vapor. A new bar has been set – good luck to anyone who tries to follow!
The Solo 3 – Fast & Furious
Arizer surprised us all with the release of the Solo 3 (save 20% with code “troyandjerry20”), not just because if came out right after the Solo 2 MAX, but also for its enhancements. Arizer gave us what we’ve wanted for years – a bigger bowl and a faster, more powerful heater. Although it works with the original Solo stems as well as its XL stems, the Solo 3 retains that Arizer taste, even if the sessions are much faster.
The Solo 3 has a robust hybrid heating system that employs both a convection and conduction heater for strong, quick sessions that can run you over. It heats up so fast that it now comes with an On-demand mode in addition to the standard session mode. Arizer still avoids replaceable batteries, but the battery life makes up for it. The Solo 3 can go for well over an hour of runtime and deliver more sessions than you can handle in a day.
The Tafee Bowle Series 2 – Perfect Vapor
The Tafee Bowle Series II (use code “troyandjerry” for a free Stubby Stem with purchase) might be the finest portable vaporizer I’ve ever used. The heat up time is instant, and the precision convection heat delivers consistent, flavorful hits that can leave a mark on your attitude! Don’t get hung up on the cup.
The cup has no vaporizer function whatsoever. It simply holds your drink for you. Give it a shot and use the two together and you just might fall in love with this funcitonality! But even if you don’t like it, remove the cup and enjoy a world class vaporizer. This vape does what we’ve wanted for years…don’t pass it by because of the cup!
The POTV Lobo – Affordability without Sacrifice
The POTV Lobo is easily the most affordable vape on this list, and for that reason alone requires consideration. But that’s not all…it hits like a tank! For just $159, the Lobo brings a strong punch to go along with a ton of style and versatility. Grab it in classic black, a striking electric blue, or a deep forest green.
The feature set is outstanding to go along with puncy, tasty vapor. It has a removable 18650 battery, a low-maintenance design, and a glass attachment that connects to different stems, bubblers and bongs. Start a vape with a dry stem and finish it on a bong in the same session without ever missing a beat. Jerry consulted on the design of this vape, so he’s biased. The DynaVap HyperDyn – Manual Bliss
DynaVap listened and finally gave us a vapcap with a bigger bowl and massive punch! Introducing the HyperDyn with a hulky cap to heat up that massive payload. The entire vape is made from titanium to keep the weight down and the cool-down time short. This is easily my favorite vapcap!
The bowl is more than twice the size of an original DynaVap, yet doesn’t take a whole lot longer to heat up. I was also impressed with how quickly the cap cooled down after use. But the best feature is the vapor! This bigger bowl with a longer heat up time smashes like no other. For the last couple years every new vapcap to come out was my new favorite, and the HyperDyn is no exception. Only this time around it feels like it’s gonna stick!
