The Bowle is pricey but worth it
It’s been over four years since we first discovered the Tafee Bowle and fell in love with its vapor. This full convection, on-demand vape has an amazing pedigree that explains its excellence. The short story is the guy who did the cannabis tests for Storz & Bickel and the guy who made the Minivap worked with the guy who makes the Bowle, and that’s why the flavor is outstanding and the strong sessions stay under control. I really have nothing else like it, and that doesn’t even touch on the cup on top of this vape!
Yup, the form factor on this one is nuts. It’s a vape, with a cup on top so you can drink while you vape. Now, you’ve probably never sat at your vape station and thought “I really want my vape and my cup to be one thing.” But I’ll bet you drink something every time you vape. Vaping can dry out your throat, so a cup of water or tea goes well with it.
If the cup turns you off, give it a shot. I love it and use it to drink when I vape with the Bowle all the time. If nothing else, you can use the cup to hold the accessories as you walk around. But you can remove the drinkware and just use this world-class vape by itself. The vapor will win you over.

What’s better about Series II?
If you follow vaporizer releases, you know they rarely go smoothly, and the original Bowle release was no exception. I started touting the Bowle in early 2020, just before Covid. Oops. The Bowle suffered as we watched supply chains break and semiconductor supplies dry up. But the Bowle was not without its own problems, as well. Failures were higher than acceptable, and the power solution was rough, with regular hiccups that required weird resets with the charge cable.
A lot has changed since that release. The Bowle internals got a full overhaul, and it is now assembled in Canada. The electronics were redone so that everything inside is plug and play, which adds to the improved reliability the Bowle touts. Best of all, the battery life is drastically improved. This vape has a 5000mAh capacity available to make your vapor. The battery has more capacity than that, but it’s never accessed so your battery doesn’t stress and fail. The original was less than 1000mAh, so we’re flying now!
The Bowle is Tafee’s flagship product and comes at a price. The $450 tag is as high as it gets for a portable vaporizer. The build quality is top notch, and the vapor might be as good as it gets on a portable. With zero heat up time, a long path to cool the vapor, exceptional temperature control, and amazing flavor, it truly does what I’ve always wanted in a portable vape. Oh yeah, it’s also a cup!
You won’t likely see any discounts on the Bowle for quite some time. It’s a quality product that shamelessly sells for a high price because that’s what it takes to get this kind of performance and design. This isn’t a product for the masses. It’s your rich uncle’s vape, and that dude knows what he’s doing. I would believe it if you told me it was a Bang & Olufsen vaporizer.

Here I took the drinkware off the vape.
The top of the vaporizer with a USB-C charge port! (The last model had micro-USB.) There are now five lights instead of four, which means five temps instead of four!
The underside of the vaporizer. Either of those three holes can hold the stir tool in place, once they resize the gasket. But guess what? I never stir this vape, so who needs a stir tool?!
The top button is the power button (3 clicks) and the fire button (1 click). The bottom button selects the temperature.

The ceramic pot, or bowl to you and me, lifts out so you can easily fill it.
Here’s a shot of the heater exit. The ceramic pot is held right up to the screen where the hot air comes out. That’s also where the temperatures is measured, so it’s super accurate.

The Bowle also comes with a taller mouthpiece, which I prefer. But it’s not as stealthy.

It may take you a minute to see this picture right…it’s weird. But it’s a shot of the lights when the vape is turned on – looking down into the cup from above.
This Stubby Stem is dope, and is my favorite accessory. Remove the drinkware and use this stem, and it almost feels like a pocketable vape.
Here’s how the Bowle looks in it’s smallest form factor with the Stubby Stem.

Lift off the grind chamber to reveal the four pots below. There is very little mess with this design!
The Potter+ exploded. The clear top acts as a loading funnel. It also pulls apart, and you can store the stir tool there for now.
The metal Potter comes with a silky bag, a brush and a small spatula.
Open up the grind chamber and you can see the four slits that fill the pots below.
Lift off the grind plate to find your four filled pots. But wait…
…the four pots lift out to reveal four more pots below! That’s right…you can roll around town with eight loaded bowls in this grinder.
What the fuck? Check out the teeth in this grinder! I’ve never seen anything like it.
